The Orange Bowl Committee is excited to announce its Annual Orange Bowl Impact and Excellence (O.B.I.E.) Awards presented by Florida Blue and supported by Publix Super Markets will be held Friday, May 17, 2013 at the Broward County Convention Center located in Ft. Lauderdale.

Over the years, the Orange Bowl Committee has been able to give millions of dollars back to the South Florida Community through its economic impact, support of events, organizations and causes along with its support of intercollegiate athletics and higher education.  This event is one of many ways we are able to continue to give back and support the South Florida Community.

This year, in addition to providing scholarships to deserving scholar-athletes in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach Counties, proceeds from the event will go to Make-a-Wish Foundation of Southern Florida,Special Olympics Florida (Broward and Miami-Dade) and the development of the Orange Bowl Leadership Academy.

The OBC will present the following three O.B.I.E. Awards which celebrate a commitment to the community, amateur sports and displays of courage:

The event will be held Friday, May 17, 2013 with a cocktail reception at 6:00 p.m., followed by a dinner program at 7:00 p.m., culminating with a musical performance by Bell Biv DeVoe

In order to continue making an impact in the South Florida community, WE NEED YOU!  Contributions to the event are as follows:

  • $2,000 includes:  Preferred seating table of 10, name recognition as a table sponsor, personal wine service and complimentary parking.
  • $1,500 (Table of 10)
  • $150 (Individual tickets)
